SREC Decisions Now Available on Canlii
The Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission complaint and discipline decisions are now available on a searchable database known as ‘Canlii’ for the beginning of 2015 and beyond. The decisions were otherwise available online at the commission website.
This move to more open reporting is consistent with a number of different professions, including my own. The purpose is to encourage transparency in the profession, and an opportunity to learn from others mistakes.
I would encourage individuals not to judge to harshly where not warranted, or make opportunistic marketing statements based on those found to have erred. A lot of those affected have made honest mistakes.http://www.canlii.org/en/sk/skrec/
